Sanders or Mr.Commissioner Sanders rules a vast area of Africa on behalf of the British Crown. In this he is assisted by Captain Hamilton of the King's Houssas and Lieutenant Tibbetts (better known as 'Bones'). Troubles come from the various tribes who inhabit the forests and from a number of outside influences. These include missionaries and government officials of all sorts.Sanders is a man of his time and the stories in these books. reflect the attitudes prevalent in the early 1900's.In other words,to todays reader they will be seen as totally non-politically correct unless they are read in the attitude of the time in which they were written. If you approach the stories in this way, then I am sure that you will enjoy them. They are certainly great favorites of mine. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Employing his unique style of innocent and endearing humour, Bones has written to the newspapers The Surrey Starand The Middlesex Plain Dealerinviting the Foreign Secretary to pay a visit to the African territories which they administer. It is against the regulations and his boss Hamilton is furious. While world powers vie for colonial honours, Sanders and his assistants attempt to administer an uneasy peace in a climate of ju-ju and witch doctors, and all the while Bosambo, chief of the Ochori, watches closely.
