A vast encyclopedia of anecdotes - such a boon to someone who wants a casual 'bathroom reader' style of book! The only quibble I have is the scholarship, as there were a couple of anecdotes that I recalled having been proved apocryphal. But other than that, it's very entertaining and works as a solid reference book for anyone wanting to incorporate anecdotes into their speeches, papers and other works. And having it available as an ebook means that it's simple to search, though you will probably have to play around with keywords to access specific qualities of anecdotes (like finding one for 'honesty' or something). From Hank Aaron to King Zog, Mao Tse-Tung to Madonna, Bartlett's Book of Anecdotes features more than 2,000 people from around the world, past and present, in all fields.
