A lot more religious than I was anticipating. I had a library book and did not notice the Zondervan name. This is definitely Christian Inspiration! ( )

I loved watching this family. Until the divorce. It broke my hearts. I couldn't watch it anymore.

This was a really interesting book. A first hand look at the pregnancy and the first couple years after the sextuplets were born.

The Gosselins have always fascinated me, largely because of their TV show. What other family would allow a TV crew to add to the chaos of 8 children, basically all around the same age? From watching the show, you get the impression that the Gosselins live a life of trips, presents and special events, thanks largely to their six four-year-old moppets - and you learn to wince whenever Kate calls out to Jon in a public setting. I've never quite seen someone as anal and controlling as Kate - but perhaps that comes in handy when you need to be organized in life.

This book, short on substance, doesn't answer any burning question like does Jon still work or why does Kate seem abnormally cut-off from her family. At best it attempts to disassemble the impression you may have had that this family constantly goes around with its hand out, expecting society to provide after fertility treatments went wrong. It doesn't quite get there but you do feel a smidgeon of compassion for Kate at the end - if only because she seems to have wrapped herself up in a bubble that she can't break free from. ( )

Engrossing story of Jon and Kate from the beginning of their relationship until the beginning of their television show, or thereabouts. Mostly from Kate's point of view, their faith in God is amazing and doesn't come through on the show. It is a bittersweet read knowing that they are divorced now.

This book was sweet. Just sad to see that their family isn't doing that well these days. ( )

To Jon -
Thank you for all you do and for all you put up with. Now I know you meant it when you said in your vows that you would be here "through new and challenging experiences.
You're a wonderful husband, you're an amazing father, and you learned from the best. Your dad -- Poppy -- would be so proud.
Also to Grandma and Grandpa --
The truest examples of God's unconditional love.
