The other elephants in the circus are getting jealous of Dumbo's fame, and plan to teach him a lesson. One day one of the elephants loosens the hook on Dumbo's circus car.
That night, as the train chugges through a sleeping town, the hook openes releasing the car from the train.
Dumbo awakens in a quiet meadow.
Meanwhile the train is heading for disaster; the bridge has been washed away!
Can Dumbo and Timothy get there to save the circus in time?

This is a great story. The illustrations are some of the best in any Wonderful Worked of Reading series.
