Since the release of the film "Titanic" in 1997, director James Cameron has become even more fascinated by the story of the ship. He has turned this interest into a further film, "Ghosts of the Abyss", and this book documents his discoveries. It is about Cameron's journey to the real Titanic wreck - not a Hollywood mock-up, but the real ship, now lying 12,000 feet deep on the sea-bed off Newfoundland. The book is full of the eerie images taken by Cameron's multi-million dollar, specially designed underwater cameras. No-one has been so deep inside the wreck since the fateful night of 14 April 1912. There are also numerous archive shots of the Titanic's interiors taken just before she went down, offering comparisons of the glories of the past with the icy present. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
