How to turn seeds and clippings into house plants A delightful story of how the author got involved in growing plants in his house. In particular how he started growing plants from seeds found in everyday foods. Pineapple is started by a top cutting. They are an air plant & so like fertilizer misting, acid airy soil, shallow roots and is hardy. Avocado's probably won't fruit, but grow large. They need pruned or a very high ceiling to keep from drooping. Plant with the seed exposed & cover after a 4" sprout appears. Banana's give off ethylene when fruiting. Beware, it may be harmful to other plants. A delightfully written book. I fondly remember reading it from decades ago. This is transcribed from my 1976 notecard about the book.
