I tagged this book as "Humor" in my collection because it made me chuckle and smile a lot as I read it. But there's more to it than just that. I don't know whether or not Mr. Hall intended the book to be social commentary of a time in Iowa when he was growing up but it seems to be as much that as it is the mental meanderings of an imaginary little girl. I suspect Mr. Hall had as much fun making this book as he did in making "Doctor Dogbody's Leg".
He is another person I would love to have dinner with (too late now, though); there would never be a dull moment. ( )
