It asks too much of me. I don't really appreciate being exhorted to jump from one place to the next too quickly without at least a bit of guidance as to what was being suggested. Perhaps that is what Spillane wanted to do - keep the reader as confused as he could while he kept the pace up towards a different kind of conclusion. Fair enough I suppose but I have preferred all his previous offerings. If, however, a reader is a Spillane fan, he or she should not just ignore this book just because I didn't like it so much. Read it, you may appreciate it. The Last Cop Out features a stunning eye-catching bare-bottomed model on its cover. Unfortunately, that's the best part of this book. The book features a disgruntled ex-cop and a set of Mafia bosses who are being knocked off one at a time. Although there are a lot of great ingredients here, the end result was choppy, disjointed, and simply not up to Spillane's usual standards. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
