Buster is a dog who has everything he could ever want. He is very happy with his life until his owners bring home a cat named Betty to live with them. Buster does not like Betty at first but after he gets lost and Betty helps him, he knows he was wrong and accepts her. After this Buster realizes that a friend is the best thing he could have ever wished for. It is really important for children to be open to accepting others and this book can help them to do so. ( ) Buster, a pet dog, has everything he could ever want. One day, his owner, Brown Shoes, brings home a box with cat inside named Betty. Buster can't stand Betty! so, he runs away to the park and plays all day, but when he was ready to leave, Buster could not find his way. Betty climbs a tree and helps Buster find his way back home. Buster realizes that he and Betty will get along just fine. Buster was a happy dog that had everything he could ever want. That all ended the day his owner brought home Betty, the new pet kitty. Fed-up with Betty’s annoying tricks and tactics, Buster leaves home to find comfort in the park. Once night begins to fall, Buster gets scared and is ready to go home. He’s even ready to get home to Betty. Not knowing his way home, Buster gets a wonderful surprise from Betty and is able to make it home safe. I love this story. The annoying new kitty made the story perfectly cute and funny. I think that very young ages, Preschoolers and Kindergarteners, would very much be able to relate to this story in many different ways. They can relate to the feelings of getting lost, having to adjust to new people and things and learning about your surroundings. You could use this story in relationship with teaching Preschoolers and Kindergarteners their address and the location of their house. You could have them draw a picture of their house and the things that are close or surround their house. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
