We both enjoyed them. Every poem is on a different topic and written in a different style. My favorite poem was "Being Alone." It is a sing songy poem that lets children know it can be fun to be alone. When you are alone you get to know yourself and learn who you are. ( ) This is a book that consists of bedtime poems. Spinelli did a phenomenal job with the poems in this book because they were very strong in getting the readers to use their senses. Some poems throughout this book felt as if Spanelli was talking about a dream she had. Other poems talked about going to sleep in a certain setting. My favorite poem in this book is called wings. I believe it is my favorite because it talks about although she does not have wings she can fly away on borrowed wings of poetry. I just felt like that line was very powerful because sometimes writing poetry can give you a sensation of freedom or relief such as flying would. I loved reading this book ! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
