These dirty young pigs need a bath and in this wordless story, they get one in a clever and inventive way. These young hogs were having lots of fun and in the process they got very dirty. Their parents come up with a clever machine to wash the pigs and get them squeaky clean - it's a hog wash! The illustrations of this book create great interest and movement and there are so many fun things to explore on each page. The narrations that can be told are practically endless.

This is a wonderful book about a subject that all children are familiar with - bath time. But this is a fun and clever twist on bath time that can generate creativity and dialog. There are lots of parts and pieces of the bathing machine that young children can describe to one another. This is a wonderfully creative book that almost all readers will enjoy -whether it's about having fun getting dirty or having fun getting clean - there is something for every reader. ( )

It was fun to "read" this story without words. The pictures were very detail oriented. The package deal didn't wow me, but was cute enough. ( )

This is hilarious! The intricacy of the illustrations would spark the imaginations of older children to draw their own designs for absurd mechanisms. I'd probably use it as a reference for such a project, rather than trying to "read" it at a storytime.
