This is a quarterly magazine that’s just perfect for slipping into your pocket or handbag ready for spare reading moments. It’s crammed with reviews about long forgotten books, fiction and non-fiction, old and new. Ideal for readers who don’t want to read the latest top ten or prizewinner list, but instead prefer to choose their reading matter more independently. I enjoyed reading what other authors had to say about their much-loved favourites and what it was about them that filled them with inspiration. Each edition has at least 96 pages that are written by well-known and not so well-known contributors who write with passion, wit and a deep love of literature.
Although this publication is classed as a magazine it is in fact beautifully bound and printed on luxurious cream paper, with not an advert in sight. It definitely isn’t one that you’d put in your recycling bin but will cherish on your bookshelves. I’ll certainly be buying more editions and am looking out for back copies too. ( )
