This is lovely and simple: if a kid has a bad day, when that bad day is finally over they go to the Bunny Planet and the Bunny Queen (Janet) shows them how that day should have gone. I thought it was cute at first but maybe was slightly too dismissive--as my son verges on three I can see just how psychologically meaningful and emotionally comforting this kind of story is. Somewhere out there is a planet where things are right. (I should have known--it's more or less the same way I got through not believing in Santa Claus, to say nothing of breaking up with my first girlfriend--through a complicated flimflam having to do with multiple universes and everything that can be, somehow is.) "Far beyond the moon and stars, twenty light-years south of Mars / Spins the gentle Bunny Planet / And the Bunny Queen is Janet" This lovely boxed set of three small books is a must-read for any one who has ever had a bad day. It is the ultimate comfort collection. I often give this as a gift to both adults and children. Brim-full of imagination and charm, there is nothing treacly or saccharine in these feel better stories. Highly recommended. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

"Far beyond the moon and stars, twenty light-years south of Mars / Spins the gentle Bunny Planet / And the Bunny Queen is Janet.”
On the Bunny Planet, Queen Janet helps the little bunny have the day the bunny would have wished to have. She does this by teaching the bunny how it could make things turn out differently. At the end of each story, the bunny awakens, sees the Bunny Planet in the sky, and exclaims, “It was there all along.”
The most appealing aspect of these books are the illustrations. Who can resist the Bunny Queen cuddling adorable little bunnies who need reassurance, and who go from looking sad to looking serene? ( )
