Leuk, maar niet indrukwekkend. Je bent het verhaal heel snel weer vergeten. Haar boek 'de reünie' was beter. Bij dit boek had ik niet de drang om door te lezen en te weten te komen hoe het eindigde.. Beetje saai dus. (

This thriller, set in the Netherlands, tells the story of a woman and her child whose home is invaded by an escaped murderer. Although the story is quite short I found it really gripping. It raises some frightening questions about what we would be willing to do to save the lives of ourselves and our children. (

Blauw Water is a great thriller. I have noticed before that van der Vlugt knows how to describe human emotions into detail. Anything she writes could be real. She knows how to describe daily actions, ordinary people and common reactions. I admire her writing because of this.
I also like the plot of this story. It is beautifully built up and never ceased to interest me.
Although I like van der Vlugt's colleagues in the genre as well, she is my favourite Dutch thriller writer. (

Ik vind dit een heel leuk boek. Het is een leuk en spannend verhaal. Het boek is makkelijk te lezen en wordt zeker niet saai. Door de tweeverhaallijnen blijft het lezen ook leuk en maakt het je nieuwschierig, hierdoor wil je nog meer lezen. Daardoor heb je het boek ook snel uit. Het is ook makkelijk te begrijpen.

Als Lisa in haar achtertuin de was ophangt staat er ineens een ontsnapte tbs'er voor haar neus. Vluchten is geen optie omdat ze het leven van haar zesjarige dochter Anouk niet in gevaar wil brengen. (
