Otto is a young elephant whose trunk is way smaller than all his friends. They all make fun of him and his small trunk and Otto is very upset. One day though everything changes. Otto's trunk grows out of nowhere.

This book was okay but not that great. I would not really use in my classroom. The lesson taught in the story is too not bully others, but it was kind of hard to understand. His own friends were bullying him and they used words like "hey, loser." I just did not really like this book ( )

Otto's Trunk is a great book! Otto just wants to fit in and have a large trunk just like the rest of his friends. he tries everything to grow his trunk, but nothing throughout the week seems to help, until one day he snorted and his trunk grew very big! This is a very inspiring book and teaches students not to bully and that everyone is unique.

Otto gets madefun of because he has a smaller trunk than everyone else. It seems he can never catch a break. Then one day he learns that he can make a big noise with his trunk that not all his peers can make. It is then that Otto is no longer made fun of. ( )

Otto wants a big swinging trunk like his Dad's, not the tiny weeny small one which makes him a figure of pachyderm fun. I want to like this book because it's hip and quirky and a little bit cheeky, but in the end the art's a little too kinetic and the story takes a bit too long to get to where it's going. ( )
