Possible spoiler alert: It doesn't take a detective to figure out that Ian was involved in all the murders. He also had a motive and was kind of creepy. The bigger question, however, is: what percentage of students live to graduate Shadyside High? Moreover, how can every book begin with students doubting that Shadyside and Fear Street really are synonymous with being murdered? Why would anyone live there? You'd think after the first few murders, everyone would just get out. Maybe it's because the majority of the residents are unbelievably hot. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

There's a new boy at Shadyside High School, and he's stolen the hearts of all the girls. Good-looking, athletic Ross Gabriel is the kind of guy that every girl wants to date-including best friends Janie, Eve, and Faith. They've even made a bet on which one of them he'll go out with first. Ross dates a lot of girls-and one by one, they're all murdered. It looks like going out with Ross means flirting with a gruesome and horrifying fate. So when Ross asks Janie out, she isn't sure what she should do. Will her dream date turn into a nightmare? When it comes to writing nerve-jangling thrillers for today's young people, R.L. Stine is the master. With true-to-life teenage characters and clever, hair-raising plots, his best-selling books have captured the imagination of young people across the nation and attracted thousands of reluctant readers to library bookshelves. What would you do for $1,241.65?
If it's 1994 and you go to Shadyside High, the answer may well be...MURDER!
Janie and her friends Eve and Faith are responsible for turning in the money from the latest school dance over to new principal Mr. Hernandez (Mr. Sewall presumably was ousted because of all the dead students). The problem is that the new boy, Ross Gabriel is a total dream boat and, oh yeah, the money was stolen! It had to have been one of the girls or their boyfriends, but which one? Janie is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery almost as much as she is determined to have a hot, dry lipped encounter with Ross. The pity is that the other girls who go out with him end up dead.
This one was pretty solid. It was nice to see Shadyside High getting back to business as usual after an extended detour into holiday/historical background land. The title is a nice nod to the first book in the series. This is the 20th standard Fear Street book, but the 31st book published when taking in the whole franchise.
