I figured out the twist pretty early on, but I've been reading a lot of Fear Street so I know what to look for. I was hoping the plot would involve ghosts and a mysterious wrong in the past that needed to be righted since the back of the book mentions how weird and creepy Fear Hall is. It seems like a lot of Stine's books are a bait and switch situation. I don't know if he had any control over what was written on the back covers, but the blurbs are almost always misleading or downright wrong. Overall, it's a short read and I am looking forward to reading the conclusion. Maybe we'll get some ghosts, but I doubt it. ( ) OK, so what can you really say about the Fear Street books? They all share the same formula, but you know what; I still love them! It took me almost all the way to the very end to figure out the twist, which I can usually figure out 3/4 of the way through with most of the other titles. THAT is why I gave this one 5 stars. If it didn't keep me guessing until the end, I probably would have given it 4, just because it was kind of basic, *(potential spoiler, but you find this out within like the first 5 pages of the book)* jealous boyfriend murdering boys who look at his girlfriend. Since my goal is to read all Fear Street books, I am going to read Fear Hall: The Conclusion and I hope it will be as good as this one. I recommend this book of course, like I recommend all Fear Street books. I figured out the twist pretty early on, but I've been reading a lot of Fear Street so I know what to look for. I will give Stine this much credit- you don't suspect that Hope is all those people, but when you find out, it makes sense. We also have the question to wonder about of how Hope manages to balance all these people, and how she lives her life. There were things I definitely didn't agree with, however: first years don't get singles (with private bathrooms!), and when a dorm is half empty people aren't put into triples like the three Ms, not to mention the fact that hope was getting checks made out to Jasmine. How is that supposed to work? sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
The first Fear Street set in college College freshman Hope--and her roommates Jasmine, Eden, and Angel--are horrified when Darryl says he's murdered the boy Hope dated. But the police know the horrifying truth--the real killer is closer to Hope than she thinks. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
