This book is about monkey and his new downstairs neighbor, giraffe. During their first meeting, the monkey tells the giraffe that if he makes too much noise, to just bang on the wall so he could keep it down. Throughout the book, the monkey is trying to go about his normal routine, however he keeps hearing his wall being knocked on, as if he is bothering giraffe. Eventually the monkey gets more irritated with how up-tight the giraffe is. Near the end of the book, the monkey receives the mail of the giraffe and decides to go give him his mail, only to find out that the giraffe was ordering balloon pillows for the ceiling because his head kept bumping into it. The monkey understands it was a misunderstanding and they live happily ever after.

Okie Dokie Artichokie is a book about a giraffe who moves into the same apartment as a monkey named Marklee. Marklee tells Artichokie that if Marklee is ever being loud, Artichokie can just bang on the floor so that Marklee can quiet down. Everything that Marklee did, Artichokie would bang on the ground. Marklee couldn't eat, blow dry his hair, or even read without Artichokie banging on the ground. Marklee was really annoyed and didn't understand why Artichokie was so sensitive to sound. A gift that was for Artichokie accidentally ended up at Marklee's. He was so annoyed with Artichokie that he decided to not give the gift to Artichokie. He then felt really bad because he saw Artichokie alone on Christmas. Marklee brings the gift to Artichokie and it ends up being ceiling pads for giraffes. It all made sense now, Artichokie wasn't banging on the celing, he was just hitting his head on the ceiling. It was all one big misunderstanding and they end up being friends.

Summary: Marklee is getting a new neighbor and was very excited about it. Marklee tells his new neighbor, Artichokie, if he's ever too loud to bang on the ceiling. Marklee began to hear "bang, bang" for every little thing he did. This became very frustrating for him so he assumed Artichokie was a sensitive grump and began ignoring him. One day, Marklee received one of Artichokie's packages by mistake, and was forced to deliver it to him in person. Artichokie was so happy his package came him because it would help him when he bangs his head on the ceiling for being too tall. ( )

This book is very cute. Marklee the monkey lives in an apartment and a giraffe named Artichokie moved in. Since Artichokie lives below Marklee, Marklee tells him to just bang on the ceiling if he is too loud. Well everytime Marklee does anything, Artichokie keeps banging on the ceiling. Marklee assumes that he is a mean and old giraffe and ends up getting really mad at him. By the end when Marklee returns a package to Artichokie that accidentally was delivered to the wrong apartment, Artichokie says he was so excited to get his ceiling pillows. They all realize that the reason Artichokie was banging against the ceiling was because he is a tall giraffe. At the end, they become friends and share hot cocoa and laugh about how silly the misunderstanding was. ( )
