I have previously reviewed Bill Harris´s book “The new science of super awareness”; the present book is an earlier one also informing us of the benefits of the author´s audio technology system, Holosync.

I got this book free from the author in connection with my purchasing the first programme in the “Holosync Solution”, though I was not asked to provide a review. (I think Bill has so much success he doesn´t need any more advertisement for his system.)

The book is wonderfully and clearly written and provides us with a comprehensive overview of this life-changing technology. Bill calls it “the last personal growth tool you´ll ever need”, and I am absolutely finding this to be true. Purchasing this technology is the best thing I´ve ever done. I will be doing Holosync for the rest of my life, and my only regret is that I didn´t find it sooner.

We are told that Holosync stimulates a “profound acceleration” in mental, emotional and spiritual growth. In the Holosync system we listen to at first one mp3 for half an hour, and later 2, one after the other, for an hour in all.

The system works like regular meditation, except that it is 8 times stronger. Regular meditation carried out over 30 years will give you the benefits of Holosync, but most of us don´t have the time.

Holosync is like exercise for the brain and helps by pushing your brain to develop and create new neural pathways. But unlike physical training, the benefit gained is permanent, and this “exercise” doesn´t have to be repeated in order to maintain the benefit acquired.

Bill explains that the changes that occur are revolutionary. The over 2 million Holosync users have all had their lives changed (for the absolute better) beyond recognition.

The main benefits are:

1) It greatly raises one´s threshold for managing stress.
2) It increases our creativity.
3) It increases our acceptance of people and situations,
4) We simply feel better – we experience feelings of joy, inner peace and happiness.
5) We understand ourselves better,

In my experience, when listening to the mp3s or CDs you don´t actually meditate, you just listen to the recording. At first you may fall asleep, but that doesn´t matter, you will still benefit.

You will benefit from the very first level of the system, but if you appreciate the progress made, you can then go on to further levels. The first level takes from 4-6 months to complete, while further levels take from 6 months to a year to complete.

With use of Holosync, dysfunctional emotional problems such as anger, depression, anxiety and substance abuse begin to fall away. Your mind becomes clearer and enthusiasm and zest for life grows. You will feel a greater connection to the world around you, and a deeper connection to God/the Divine.

The author recounts how he was hostile, angry and anxious before years of daily Holosync meditations finally transformed him.

He states that regardless of your current or past personal circumstances, it is not necessary to live a life of suffering and unhappiness.

However, you cannot rush through Holosync; an hour a day is what is advised. You will have to work through change - things will come up to be integrated, and you may occasionally have to skip the meditation for a day or two, until you feel better.

Holosync creates even deeper meditative states than are possible through traditional techniques. Holosync users experience alpha, theta and delta brain waves, and are able to remain alert and aware even in the delta state, though delta is a sleep state.

Listening to Holosync synchronizes the two brain hemispheres, which means that both sides work together.

We are given information about alpha, beta, theta and delta brain waves, though I don´t remember finding any about the exciting gamma brain waves, which is the fastest pattern, much higher than beta, and which increase intelligence, compassion and loving kindness.

This is simply a most exciting book, the best I´ve yet read about the brain and that´s saying something.

Bill presents his nine principles for conscious living 1) the principle of letting whatever happens be okay 2) the principle of threshold 3) the principle of chaos and reorganization 4) the principle that the map is not the territory 5) the principle of responsibility as empowerment 6) the principle of conscious change 7) the principle of witnessing 8) the principle of good and bad generalizations and 9) the principle of the neutral universe (N.B. Here I disagree –I find the universe to be friendly, though it sometimes leads us to “bad” things in order to grow).

As regards “witnessing”, Bill teaches us to step back and look at what we are feeling, as a technique by which to manage negative things coming up during the Holosync process. As we are also instructed through the work of the illustrious David R. Hawkins, we should let go of resistance (and thus suffering).

At the end of the book we find innumerable letters from grateful Holosync users describing their progress and development.

I thus highly recommend this excellent, brilliant book about the brain and the benefits of Holosync. If you decide to use Holosync you will not regret it. ( )
