Sunshine Phillips goes back in time to Scotland where she finds the sinfully attractive Cameron. Although it takes some time, Sunshine convinces Cameron she is from the future. Cameron is the Laird but with power there is also envy. In the last battle his closet kin dies and now there is a plot to murder him. Tired of watching his back, Sunshine and Cameron decide to travel back to the future together. But it doesn't end there... This is where the story really starts to pull at the heart strings. This is a romance, so you know the ending will be happy. Fabulous story that I remembered long after the last page was done. I think I enjoy this author more when she writes more toward fantasy, with less emphasis on romance. In the case of this series, it's just so difficult to fathom that these two families constantly time travel. Not only that, but that most of them have no idea it's happening. But if it happens that often, wouldn't it be better to prepare everybody? It's just getting a bit too widespread in this case. I know people like to find out what happened to their favorite characters from previous books, but sometimes that just goes too far. I guess these are better read spread out than all in a bunch. The back of the book has a quote - Ms Kurland know how to deliver a heartwarming romance and remarkable charachters. I have to totally agree and for me, she is my favorite romance author. And I have read a lot of romances. With Every Breath is set, as her other romances, within the same set of perameters of her time-traveling Scotland and charachters from previous books. So, really, the premise is really just a variation of her many books. What keeps me coming back is her feel good charachters and the sweet romance. And this is coming from someone who owns more erotica and romantica that a person aught. It is her writing that I enjoy so much. In this latest addition to her Scotland romances we have Sunshine, sister to Madelyn who is married to Patrick MacLeod (another time-traveling medieval Scot) who knows about the hot spots through out the land that will take you back in time. Her threshhold is not one of them on the map but a Scot from the 1300's comes to her door to get her to help with an injured man and when she walks thru it she is back in time. Of course, the path to tru love is not quite smooth and flowery and there is much heart wrenching pain in the interm. And, admittingly, I wanted to reach thru the pages and shake Sunny when she first encountered Cam back in modern times. Just say something! Ask some questions! Talk to your MacLeod brothers! - - I kept telling the book. It seems that they were kept apart - or at least Sunny was kept in pain longer than was necessary. Sunshine and Cameron's story made me cry and smile and I anjoyed the entire ride. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

When medieval laird Robert Cameron pounds on Sunny Phillips's door, he isn't paying a social call. He's braved a trip onto enemy soil to fetch the MacLeod witch, a crone renowned for her healing powers. But the woman who opens her door to him is enchanting and young... and not from his century. I'm glad I didn't give up though because it did have the most delicious plot twist that I didn't see coming and once the crying was done (If you can bear it) the book goes back to being very interesting and worth the read. ( )
