He recounts traveling through places that had been important in his life and career, including his boyhood home where his brother, much changed, still lives.
The woman appears at almost every destination – sometimes benign, sometimes beloved, sometimes evil.
The writing is quite evocative, as the author plays with reality, and memory.
Not bad – a bit too philosophical for my taste. Although each sentence is beautifully written, the story as a whole does not draw me onwards. ( )
