Say Hola to Spanish is such a fun and creative way to introduce Spanish to beginners. There is a lot of rhyming of the words, which we all know children are most engaged in! This book teaches the most basic introduction of Spanish with English in the same sentence. This is the kind of book I would want in a classroom that I would read daily until my students for sure memorized it. There are a lot of animals and daily life words that children do and eat at that were brought up in the book that would be beneficial to children. ( ) I choose this book because it is a good book to teach about a different culture. In this book it teaches many different things such everyday words in Spanish, different vocabulary from English and Spanish. The book includes colorful pictures throughout the book that show what the words are describing from Spanish to English and is great book for ELL students. This book also includes great themes of rhyming into the book and this can help not only student learning about rhyming but ELL students as well understanding the rhyming from Spanish to English which will help the vocabulary. This book is great for kids who speak only spanish, are bilingual, or want to learn spanish. I believe this book would be great to incorporate into the classroom for ELL's to feel more included and understand some reading. This book discusses words in spanish and english which makes this book a great one to read to your students. There are colorful pictures throughout the book that show what the words are describing. Say Hola to Spanish is a great book because it teaches Spanish words providing a short story line in both English and Spanish. The sentences flow around the page in a unique format. The colorful pictures take up the entire pages, showing Spanish learners examples of each sentence. For example, one page states “Zapatos, or shoes, cost lots of dinero” along with a picture of a cowboy with a sombrero purchasing cowboy boots. The next page transitions into the same cowboy on horseback stating, “The hat on your head is called a sombrero. A cowboy on horseback is called a vaquero.” The rhyming also gives the story a nice poetry feature. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
