In her fifteen years of teaching, Barbara DeMarco-Barrett has found that the biggest stumbling block for aspiring writers (especially women) is not fear of the blank page but frustration with the lack of time. What woman doesn't have too much to do and too little time? Finding an hour free of work, children, or obligations can seem impossible. But anyone can find fifteen minutes, whether you're sitting in traffic, waiting at a child's soccer practice, or watching the coffee drip. DeMarco-Barrett has created a practical, inspirational guide for fitting serious writing into those stolen moments. She offers writing exercises and techniques for generating ideas, as well as pragmatic advice from the well-known authors who appear on her radio show. With fifteen minutes a day, she can help you to ignite your pen and become the writer you have always wanted to be.… (más)

Inspiring for those who don't think that they actually have any time to write; it's even broken into nice short bits so you don't even have to take that much time reading it.
I really liked Barbara DeMarco-Barrett's voice, as well as all the quotes from other writers that she integrated into the book. ( )

Nuttig en praktisch boek voor (vooral) vrouwen die vaak denken dat ze geen tijd hebben om te schrijven. Het kan wél: in korte sessies iets goeds produceren. Met mooie citaten en fijne schrijfopdrachten.

I loved this book! It got me moving on the road to writing, inspiring me to dig deeper to write about my experiences. With the 15 minute plan, there was no excuse for not writing! ( )

This is an inspiring and helpful book. As an enjoyable read, it reminds me of Anne Lamott's Bird By Bird. Not as funny, but it makes up for it in practicality. The book is divided into over 50 short topics, each with 15 minute writing exercises related to the topic. Overall, both interesting and inspiring.

As an aside, I think the author did herself a disservice with the subtitle: everything in this book applies to men, and not just women. ( )
