NA Summary: This book is an anthology for traditional poetry and nursery rhymes. Personal Response: I have had this book since I was a child. I loved these rhymes when I was a child and now I read them to my children. The illustrations are beautiful, I just wish there were more of them. Classroom Extension Ideas: 1. I could use these poems for morning reading. 2. Since some of the poems are lacking illustrations, I could have students draw illustrations for them. My wife writes: When I was a little girl in Calcutta, this book was sent to me from New York by my father's friend. To say that I loved this book would be an understatement. I was part of the rhymes. I was with the children who came out to play at night when the moon shone as bright as day. I agonised over the babes in the wood who were brilliantly illustrated in a large and detailed pencil sketch. Lovely book and part of my childhood. Part Ba/Mother Goose De Angeli, M. (1953). Marguerite de Angeli’s book of nursery and Mother Goose rhymes. New York: Doubleday. Peter Piper, Mistress Mary, Little Bo-peep, and Mother Goose are only a few of the hundreds of characters that fill the pages of Marguerite de Angeli’s Book of Nursery and Mother Goose Rhymes. Each page is accompanied by a sketched illustration, mostly in black and white with a few colored illustrations throughout. Easy to sing, the rhymes are sure to capture the imaginations of young children. Ages 1 and up. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
