This book contains an excellent selection of poems for very young children. ( ) Summary; This is a book of childrens poems about animals and how they appear in real life. The book was an illustration of collections of short poems on animals and other subjects by such authors as Aileen Fisher, Eleanor Farjeon, Christina Rossett, and Robert Louis Stevenson. These poems are suitable for all ages but have been chosen for their simplicity so that even the youngest ears will appreciate the rhythms and words. Personal Reaction: My reaction to this book was how the way each animal used rhyming words. Classroom Extension: I would teach the children to learn to use words that rhyme, in case they wanted to use them in poems. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
