Frankly, this book upset me and made me very sad as my own mother in Alaska was made to attend Catholic boarding school in the 1950s. She despised religion ever since. My Navajo grandmother was made to attend boarding school in Arizona, must've been in the 1920s and quite possibly was Keams Canyon Boarding School. Littlefield did not try to sugar coat what happened and I am glad that this book exists so that other people can understand what happened to Native children. I would definitely use this book in a school curriculum or at a public library. Children should understand how the government can treat people. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
