You know what I love about Isaac Asimov? Forget for a moment that the man was brilliant, what is so good about his writing is that he manages to make us consider possibilities. As in "Environments Out There" Asimov's still gives us points to make us think about what could be possible. He teaches us that science is fluid that while he's presenting facts known now those most certainly will change as we build on the knowledge of past research.

As we've seen our knowledge of space has expanded and changed but "Environments Out There" is a good, historic reference and a marking point of where we were in the mid 60's. ( )
