Wow! Glory is growing up to be a force to be reckoned with. She's been the tender hearted, kick butt, independent woman, but now having saved a human and turning Lucky... Glory has found her inner vampire strength and is even more impressive on this book. Of course now we have another hot male, new vampire to boot, that she gets to babysit. The laughs are great. The intensity of this book really thickened and the story seemed to develop much deeper than the other two. Real relationships cemented, esp. for Flo, and histories began to unfold.
This book has become my favorite, yet I was disappointed in the behaviors of some of the people. The dark sides exposed. But I can't wait to see what will come in the future books. ( )

Great story lots of action. The new characters really add to the story. Loan shark vampire, with a need to hurt, fun. V is still the man/dog and has his hands full keeping Glory out of trouble. There may be Daughter drawing Blade to another ? Can't wait to read the next book... ( )

I love Glory, she's so "real". ( )

I can always count on a fun and thrilling read in one of these Glory St. Clair books. I had stumbled upon this series by accident. Saw the first book on sale at Barnes and Noble and picked it up. Since then I haven't stopped getting these books when I can find them.

This book has Glory turning a human to a vampire. Something she doesn't want to do. When her and Valdez stumble upon Lucky Carver behind her shop bleeding out, Gloria has to decide to either save her or let her die. I will say that Lucky is annoying from the beginning.

Lucky is not one to be quiet and unseen and now that she is a vampire she has to learn the vampires rules. As always Glory is very entertaining with the men in her life and it is great to see Blade in this book. I look forward to the next book and possibly seeing Lucky in future books. ( )

When plus size 400 year old vampire Glory St. Clair and Valdez, her bodyguard dog come home to find a woman, (Lucky Carver) in the ally behind her shop with her throat ripped out and breathing her last breath, Glory realizes she will have to save Lucky herself by doing something she had never wanted to do, turning her into a vampire.

Unfortunately Lucky is not the best candidate to be made vampire, she is an enforcer for her families loan shark business, that specialize in making loans to paranormals, which is how Lucky came to be in the ally in the first place. Now Glory must find out who tried to kill Lucky, stop a blackmailer that videoed Glory turning her into a vampire and try to guide the woman onto the right path, which is no easy task, Lucky’s goal is to experience vampire sex, and slide her fangs into the nearest human.

This book was a light and entertaining read, just right for relaxing. There were a few holes in the story but hopefully they will be wrapped up in later books. As it was the third book in the series by Gerry Bartlett I will be getting the first two to catch myself up on the life and times of Glory St. Clair. ( )
