In my opinion, the book "Animals in the Snow" is a great book for young readers. Something that was appealing to me was the fact that the text had a pattern to it, making it easier for young readers to catch on and fluently read the story. For example, one page reads: "The squirrel ran home. The bunny ran home. The bird flew home. The cat and dog both ran home." Since much of the text is consistent like this, it can help the reader to catch on to a pattern. I also liked the song in the back of the book. This serves as an extension to the book that kids might love to sing along with. Since the book mainly takes place in the winter but ends in the spring, I also liked how the song related to spring since that's where the book left off. Although the song is short, young readers might love to share this song with a classmate or adult they are reading with. The illustrations were also something that made the book appealing to me. The illustrations are bright, colorful, detailed, and focus a lot on line work. It also helps that the text is in a white box with a border and the illustration surrounds the rest of the page, allowing the text to be easily read and understood without the distraction of a background. The big idea of this story was to show some things that occur in the winter, and at the transition into spring. ( ) This is a very easy book to read to kids. More appropriate for younger students because it is very repetitive. The story is about a dog, cat, bird, squirrel and bunny that were outside in the cold. The cold weather brought snow and it snowed on their houses. When the sun comes out the animals go out and so do the boy and the girl. The boy and girl find animal tracks in the snow. The build a snowman, snow bunny, snow bird, snow dog, snow squirrel and snow cat. When they came out the next day the sun melted all the snow and they ran into the woods where they found the real animals! It was a cold day, and snow began to fall on the squirrel, bird, bunny, cat, and dog. They ran to their homes and the sun came out. A little boy and girl came out of their houses to play in the snow and made snowmen in the shapes of the animals. The next day, the snow melted. The children were disappointed that their snowmen were melted, but they saw real animals in their place! This frightened the animals, so they ran into the forest. Then the children and animals saw a snowdrop bloom, and they all knew that spring was here! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
When snow falls, the animals stay home; when it stops, they come out to play; and when it melts, it is spring! No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
