Sweet baby book. The child is only about 10-12 months old, and mom is at least 6 months pregnant, so that's interesting. We can tell it's not an American book because the basket, to me, looks like a decorative organizer, but apparently it's really a shopping basket. Cool.

Thank you Winnemucca library for having a diverse collection of books... they don't cull old and are willing to buy 'foreign.' ( )

Baby looks through Mom's basket when she comes home in this easy reader. Three characters populate the book, with each spread containing three words or less. The illustrations are highly formulaic, providing for a highly consistent presentation. A mommy and baby could read this book in less than a minute, and babies will enjoy the fact that the baby is the active character in the book. However, this book would work better as a board book, due to its brevity and applicable audience. ( )
