I loved that the story was about Doug. Everyone at Colby wasn't quite sure about him, but that really only had to do with the life he led previously in his life. The one he was didn't want.

He had to take an every-day girl, Eddi, tell her that she was going to be in heiress. then turn her into one that was suitable to look, talk, and act like heiress. He knew that world well and knew he could pull it off, but after the first few days, and with the help of 4 meddling ladies, they attraction between them was apparent and strong.

But it was Doug's first job and he had to keep her safe, not fall in love with her. Her father was killed in a ransom gone wrong and though there was no threat, he couldn't take the chance, no matter how strong his feelings were for her.

He wanted to protect her from what the world of being rich can do to a person, and because he loved the way she already was.

He keeps her safe from threats, and even from his past until the party, when his past comes back to haunt him. She had just wanted him to be honest with her but he caused her to look like a fool with her not knowing who he was, and she even tried to give him another chance.

He blames himself when she was taken because she should of been with him in his room had he not been so afraid to take the chance.

With someone working from the inside in her disappearance, they didn't know who to trust. With "The Club" arriving, her parents arriving the next day, Doug needed to find her to be sure she knew how much he loved her.

You'll enjoy this book if you like a lot of romance with a touch of mystery! ( )
