And for me, only armchair-travel -- its destinations are mostly high-adventure (think Papua New Guinea), and its recommendations for areas such as "Pakistan's mountainous northern region" are absurd. Still, its smooth, heavy pages, outstanding photography, and special sections on Islamic travel and themed travel (35 categories including friendliest countries; endangered places; mythical places; jail-cell hotels; strange museums; etc) are lush, educational, and inspiring.
