Christopher starts playing with play clay, and makes his parents cookies out of play clay. His parents think they are horrible and gross, and they call and tell his teacher what happened. His teacher makes Christopher a cookie out of play clay, and when he eats it he decides that it is so gross that he won't make any more for people. His teacher helps the class make real cookies, and he brings them home to his parents at the end of the day.

What a great story about a smart, imaginative boy who essentially tricks his family into believing that his Play-Doh creations are yummy cookies! The illustrations are beautifully constructed and offer so much to look at. (The dog's expressions are priceless!) ( )

My funny bone must be taking a nap, because I just wasn't all that amused by this book. ( )
