I like the post WWII setting, and the hero in the book is a true anti-hero, but one I quickly came to care for despite his strong flaws. That's the sort of character I like reading about. The story has a strong "It's a Wonderful Life" flavor, and if you enjoy that movie as much as I do (it's my all-time fave!) then you'll enjoy One More Sunrise. The ending took some turns I didn't expect, and was in a way, bittersweet. Give it a try. NCLA Review - The story begins in 1941 when Joe Daley's dream is to marry his sweetheart and join the war as a fighter pilot. Seventeen years later we find Joe's life a mess. He never became a fighter pilot and his marriage is falling apart. When his crop dusting plane goes into an uncontrollable dive, he pleads with God for one more chance. Remarkably he is able to recover the plane. Shortly after, he has a strange encounter with an angel. With God's help, Joe gets his life back on track. He learns first hand the power of forgiveness and God's power in our lives. Rating: 4—NP sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
