Well done historical fiction, not too heavy on the romance, good detail. ( ) I first read this book in the late 90s, and I loved it. It was probably one of the first romance novels I read, and it still pops up in my mind every so often. I loved the setting of the book; I have a thing for historicals, and it was set in New Orleans. I think I might have to reread this one soon. Lousiana, 1830.
