This fable is about an grasshopper that likes to dance and singing all day and an ant that works hard. This story is good for teaching responsibility and the appropriate times to play and appropriate times to work hard. I would use this book in younger elementary grades to set the tone at the beginning on the year and when we are talking about jobs within the classroom and outside of the classroom. ( ) Author: Tom Paxton Title: The Ant and the Grasshopper: An Aesop's Fable Illustrator: Philip Webb Publisher: Celebration Press Date: 1997 Pages: 23 Type: Picture book Summary: This book is about an Ant who works hard everyday, and a grasshopper who just sings, dances and plays. The grasshopper noticed that all the aunt did was work but never helped. One day the grasshopper was very hungry and luckily the ant opened his door and offered him food. I also like this book, I think it shows you that you can have fun and play but you have to take some responsibilities and work hard. Also shows you that true friends help each other even if they get annoyed with one another! Great book! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
