The Mine-O-Saur is an awesome children's book that have dinosaurs with human actions and traits. The Mine-o-saur is about a dinosaur who goes to school and has trouble sharing with the other dino's in his school/class. in the middle of the book, the other Dinosaurs leave him to play by himself because they don't like how he doesn't share. At the end, Min-o-saur realizes that his peers enjoy spending time with each other because they can share all of their toys and activities. This pushes him to share with others because he wants to have fun with them too. The main idea of this book is for students to recognize that it is nice to share with other and people will like to be around you when you are nice and kind. Furthermore, In this book they use inner and outer dialogue, which is good for younger students to see because when they start to read chapter books they will see more and more of this inner and outer dialogue. Also, even though the main character's are dinosaurs, students will still be able to relate to and understand the message of this book. ( )

The dinosaur learns the power of sharing and allowing other people "dinosaurs" play with this toys. It teaches students that sharing and being generous with your belongings is something important in relationships with people.
