My grandma gave this book to my dad as a Christmas gift and I read it while visiting. Time well spent ( ) Pure chance I ran across this book, and darn glad I did-just the right mix of mystery and comedy-an absolute delight to read. Aaron McCloud has gone to Ireland to visit his Aunt(who is young enough to be his cousin) . His reason for going is to spend lonely moments wallowing in self-pity over a woman who rejected him. The moment he lands in the Irish Country side the absurdity begins. There were times I was comparing this to a Mighty Python skit-the humor was just that good. Yes, there is a pig involved, and although not the star of the story his cameos are perfection. it is one of those books Goodreads people either love or hate-I fell in love with the pig and was thrilled to see there are 2 more books after this. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
A pig escapes from its pen and roots up the garden of Kitty McCloud, a bestselling novelist who corrects the classics. What the obstreperous little pig unearths is evidence of a possible transgression that the novel's three Irish characters - the plagiarizing Kitty, her blood-feud rival Kieran, and a sexy swineherd named Lolly - are convinced the other has probably benefited from. How this hilarious mystery is resolved inspires both comic eloquence and a theatrically colorful canvas depicting the brooding Irish land and seascape.
