( ) This book is about a six year old girl from New York. She tells the reader all about her life within the categories listed in the title. It is quite comical and short enough to keep the attention span of a young reader. Realistic Fiction, Early Chapter Book. This book is pretty old and Eloise doesn't exactly relate to modern urban and suburban children. The print can be very small in parts so I do not think I would have this book in my classroom. This book is realistic fiction because it is told from the perspective of a little girl that many other little girls could relate to and it happens at a real place in our world. A good example of realistic fiction because it depicts a young, apparently rich girl and her experiences with travel and other things. She gives advice based on what she has done during her short life, and it could easily be related to how others would compose their own how to book. Eloise expresses experiences that can relate to many children, like throwing temper tantrums or playing imaginative games. She communicates how great it is to be six years old, which could be helpful for transition from kindergarten to first grade. Media: ink and wash sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
