In A Gathering of Lace, one of the most influential voices in knitting today, Meg Swansen, has gathered a talented and diverse group of 30 of North America's best lace knitters. The book is organized by knitter, each followed by several of his or her projects. Excellent book. A must-have for lace knitters. Meg Swansen collected a number of patterns from other designers, added her own, and published this lovely book. ( )
The patterns in A Gathering of Lace are gorgeous, though some are a bit dated. I especially enjoyed the afterword, with contributions by several of the leading knitting designers. ( )
