It is based upon Easter setting. ( ) I'm a big fan of Rosemary Wells and the simplicity in her stories. My 3 year old loves Max and Ruby, my son likes Max and Ruby and even my wife likes Max and Ruby. (She does a KILLER Ruby voice impersonation I might add). The illustrations are like the story- simple, friendly and harken to an older time. Always impressed with Rosemary Wells. Max and Ruby search the house together to try and find all the pink chicks that are hidden around. As they explore the house counting all the chicks they find, Max once again gets into messes. Even though he doesn't find any chicks himself, his Grandma makes a phone-call so he is not empty handed. I like how they did this concept book where it was much more then just learning your numbers. The illustrations are fantastic and definitely add the crazy messes Max makes. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
