One year the North Pole is too hot for Christmas, so a young boy howls up a snowstorm to get things back on track. He whips up snowflakes as big as dinner plates and winds strong enough to split firewood!

Maynard tells a little girl named Sissy about a huge blizzard they had one year. The weather was weird that year in the North Pole it was so warm that Santa had to pack up and move and he moved right here. His elves wouldn't work until it snowed. Maynard wouldn't get his red sled he wanted so he went to Miz Pendersnarf's house as she could cast spells. She brought a blizzard that snowed for two weeks. The story ends by Maynard telling Sissy if they get snow he'll have to test his old sled out again. I would use this book in my classroom as it is a fun enjoyable tale. This book is enjoyable for all ages 4 and up.
