Absolutely hilarious novel about an Australian girl who is sent to live in the outback with her estranged father after 10 years away from the continent with her spoilt mother in England. Everything that she has been told about her father is a lie with the exception of his short lived temper. He has a new, very pregnant and sick wife ( she faints in public) and as a result, "Killer" is sadled with the majority of the farm jobs on her holiday. Throw in an hilarious Christmas pagent (Baby Jesus gets decapitated by a horse in the Church!), the attentions of a couple of dopey farm guys, a wierd, out-going Nurse for her step Mum and the arrival of her real Mum & Step-Dad for a couple of days and you have the makings of one funny book. But Killer MacKenzie is also on a journey of self-discovery and some of these moments are gut wrenching! 9/10 for character study! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
