In my opinion this book is very informative and inspiring for young African America girls. This book is is well organized and well developed. The story line follows the life of Mary McLeod Bethune. The writing allowed for a well flowing information text. An example can be found throughout the text. The story starts with her birth and how she was her parent's first free-born child after slavery. This represents her importance. The book continues to explain how she accomplished many things. As stated before, the book can be used to teach African American girls that anything is possible. The main idea of the big idea would be to preserve by an means necessary. Mary McLeod Bethune's strengths are shown when expressing how dearly she wanted to achieve greatness not only for herself but for other young girls as well. She developed a school for girls that allowed her to show her strength. The book is very well written for the intended audience. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
