While Elizabeth Crane's writing creates a fairly unique voice and often comes at a story from a refreshing angle, this collection of stories doesn't do much to show the range of Crane's abilities. Instead of enjoying a plethora of different ideas, it seems often as if the story is the same only the characters change. I believe that Crane has a great deal of talent, but it is ill served in this collection. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Through the female protagonists in "When the Messenger is Hot," Elizabeth Crane examines life, often through slightly off-kilter situations, leading her reader through a series of witty, often close to monologues, and quirky events. In the end her characters experience love and loss in ways that are both uniquely theirs and universal. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
