No hay Conversaciones actualmente sobre este libro. Great read for my physics fueled brain. I love concise, fun books like this with lots of relatable stories. Best taken with some college level physics in your background. ( ![]() Excellent scientific text, although it is somewhat out of date. I read it in the early 2010s as part of an honors assignment in my university physics class. I was a physics major, but the book doesn't contain the same level of detail as a book written for specialists; this book can be understood by non-physicists. The author provides detailed explanations of the plausibility of various technologies described in science fiction. Very interesting. ...and another half star. The format felt repetitious, the tone a bit condescending, and it covered too much so was not able to really explain things. There are plenty of better books around, I struggled to finish this one. thoroughly enjoyed this book as it discusses how likely the technology is for "impossible" things. Kaku has an easy style that makes complex issues clear. Very interesting. Does get a little complex and mind bending in between. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
English Description CUNY professor and media star Kaku (Hyperspace) ponders topics that many people regard as impossible, ranging from psychokinesis and telepathy to time travel and teleportation. His Class I impossibilities include force fields, telepathy and anti-universes, which don't violate the known laws of science and may become realities in the next century. Those in Class II await realization further in the future and include faster-than-light travel and discovery of parallel universes. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
