Pearl Harbor (2001) Official Trailer #1 - Ben Affleck Movie HD

“WAR” – it only means a few things to me, countries goes into battle for whatever stupid reason, friends turns into enemies, lives are lost, that of husbands – children – wives and lovers die or go missing and families will never know if they are dead, injured or just lost all hope and decided to disappear, and in the end was it worth it?
“NO” as no amount of war can ever change that outcome!
“My review”
Danny Walker and Rafe grew up on a farm, they did everything together and like any two young boys got into lots of trouble, both biggest dreams was to becoming American Army Air Corps pilots, from the beginning of the book you will love these two characters, they are real, their friendship is special, and they share a bond that cannot easily be broken.
So they grew up decided to join the military only reason when they were young to fly planes. They made promises to always stay together, not to be lonely – but such promises are not the best to make when you join the military, or entering into a war.
Rafe volunteered to go to Germany to fight, and his wish was granted, and this is where the story begins with a heartfelt emotional roller coaster, as before Rafe enlisted he met Evelyn, they shared an instant love.
While Rafe was on this dangerous mission, Evelyn and Danny created a new magical relationship filling lonely days and nights! While you read these pages, it feels as if Rafe is much more committed to flying planes than his love for Evelyn, and the worst mistake he made – asking Danny to look after her when he was gone.
Now for many this book will feel like cheating, , because how in the world do you cheat on your boyfriend who went off to war, in this book it is simple both men fell in love with her, and in her heart she loved both back only with different portions of her heart.
This book is so beautiful, it is about friendship, forgiveness, and in the end being strong, and finding yourself again when you lost everything.
For me the movie was a 5 GOLD Star. What made me give this book less than 5 stars is the war, in the movie it did not feel so real, but the problem is I envision a book, so in my mind when reading this it felt much worst as when I watched the movie, it broke my heart, how cruel the world can be when war is made.

“I soared above the song birds
And never heard them sing
I lived my life in winter
And then you brought the spring”
― Randall Wallace, Pearl Harbor

“I'm not trying to be noble. I'm afraid. And the idea of having more love than I've ever had-- and knowing I might never have it again-- that scares me worse than anything.”
― Randall Wallace, Pearl Harbor

One of the major battles of the Pacific, the battle that awoke the USA,the skill to transport a fleet across the pacific to bomb pearl harbour was very good. But failure to sink the aircraft carriers did not give Japan the outright victory they wanted. An exceptional book, well written, offers some depth to one of the most iconic battles of the 2nd World War. ( )
