This book differs dramatically from the earlier version (published in 1966), and if I were the pedantic type (which I am, a bit), I'd consider them to be different works. I wonder if you need to have read the original, and then later, to read this restored copy (because that's really what it is), to gain insight into the original power of what he'd intended.

Remarkable work. ( )

This book started interesting, but quickly degenerated into something that was a drug induced nightmare - If it was a bit more coherent, with less technobabble, this would be quite a good novel.

I like the idea behind the book - just not the execution of it. ( )

A highly entertaining opening, followed by an extremely convoluted and confusing middle, all of which just sort of ends. I usually like Dick's writing, but this one is unusual. ( )

This one just doesn't hang together--but, whatever you do, avoid the version of this book known as LIES, INC. That one is utterly incoherent... ( )

Over Rachmael bin Applebaum's head floated a creditor jet-balloon, and from within its articulation-circuit a flat but handsome, masculine--artificial, however--voice boomed, magnified so that not only Rachmael but everone else crowding the ped-runnels heard it.

Lies, Inc is a greatly expanded revision of The Unteleported Man. It is better not to combine the two.
