I liked this book because of the story and the plot within the book. In this book, Gary is diagnosed with a learning disability and moved to special education classes. This book showed the process of being put into special education classes and how Gary’s teacher singled him out when he was being moved to the new class. This made Gary feel ashamed, like he had done something wrong; As Gary stated in the book, “Please can I have another chance?” This really showed how Gary didn’t understand why he was being placed in special education but he thought it was something he did wrong. Gary was struggling to understand himself and the new information of him being “special”. Once moved to the special education classroom, Gary excelled and was able to learn by his own learning style. Mrs. Block said to Gary, “every egg is different.” Was able to be confident in his learning and he was able to become a great student, despite his disability. The main message of this book is that everyone has potential and for some it may take an extra push to get you to that goal. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
