( ) The brother she looked up to dies suddenly and the whole family dynamic changes. Twelve year old Dee Dee suffers the most, for she was the cause of it all. Bereft without her brother, David, she decides to find whoever received his heart, for then she wouldn’t have lost all of him. Aided by her best friend, Sam, they search to discover who the recipient was, and then travel to find him – from Wisconsin to Florida – two fifth graders alone, over Christ-mas time. This was all too implausible and too melodramatic for me, but I can see how it would be a compelling story to emphasize the need for organ donation to a younger audience. For this reader – 2.8 stars. searching for davids heart is a good book becase his sister gets really mad and runs away and he runs after her and she crosses the road and when he does he gets hit and nobody but her and his girlfriend knows what happened and neither of them will tell anybody what happened so she tells her parents that she is going to school but really her and her best friend get bus tickets to some where and get left when they get stuck in a fairec wheel and the bus teaves so they get in the back of a horse trailer with the horse . then he stops to check but before he does he goes to a dinner and eats so they have time to get into another truck and luckly they have somwhere nice to slep and they have food and this is lucky because this person is moving and so they get out when the truck stops and they walk to where they need to be they found the house and make a plan to sell cookies for school but they say they dont eat cookies so they go down to the beach where they thought they could sleep but they were wrong and this skateboarder comes by and starts talking and they told him they dont have anywhere to stay well he takes him to where they stay and they sleep there for the night that next morning they see the boy come out of the house and go to the beach so they follow and they watch so the boy that came along asks if they could play to they say yes so they do since her brother taught her how to thow ja football she is really good but the boy that left his house is not supposed to play and they make a promise not to tell his parents so he invites him to his house to have a snack and play a game so they do then she talks about how they dont know what they had to go through and how that they did not have enough effort to call so she says we pray every day for your family and we are so sorry so they all get on a plane and flty back to her air port and they all get to meet and they all cry and laugh and talk well in this short paragraph it tells you what happened and how it begon and how it ended it sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
